Baggett (1993) and Graham Nelson (1994) [In memoriam Stephen Bishop (1820?-1857): GN] Release 5 / Serial number 961209 / Inform v6.31 Library 6/11 S At End Of Road You are standing at the end of a road before a small brick building. Around you is a forest. A small stream flows out of the building and down a gully. |
This is how the game starts. The overly detailed trail of provenance is, of course, not in the original. |
Enter well house Explore forest first |
>s In A Valley You are in a valley in the forest beside a stream tumbling along a rocky bed. >s At Slit In Streambed At your feet all the water of the stream splashes into a 2-inch slit in the rock. Downstream the streambed is bare rock. >s Outside Grate You are in a 20-foot depression floored with bare dirt. Set into the dirt is a strong steel grate mounted in concrete. A dry streambed leads into the depression. |
>open grate It seems to be locked. |
The player will now have to go back and get the keys. |
